Job Summary
The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) is seeking a Business Analyst to lead data cleansing and migration efforts for a large-scale enterprise software implementation project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead MDOC, Agency Services, and DTMB teams in data cleansing and migration efforts.
2. Coordinate and communicate with technical and business groups.
3. Use Azure DevOps to track assigned tasks.
4. Ensure clear, concise, and correct data cleansing and migration requirements.
Requirements
1. Demonstrable leadership and communication skills.
2. Experience working with multiple technical and business groups.
3. Experience with data cleansing and migration.
4. Experience with Azure DevOps.
Technical Skills
1. Data Cleansing and Migration
- Experience in formulating data cleansing and migration plans: 10+ years
- Experience using enterprise data cleansing and migration tools: 5+ years
2. Database Management
- Experience understanding and creating relational database schema, SQL: 5+ years
- Experience as a database administrator: 4+ years
3. Data Analysis and Science
- Experience using data science programming languages (R, Python, Julia): 4+ years
- Experience using basic SQL and data migration and reporting tools (SSRS, SSIS): 5+ years
4. Project Management and Collaboration
- Experience coordinating and leading multiple technical and business teams: 5+ years
- Experience working within a large IT project team: 4+ years
Business and Soft Skills
1. Communication and Documentation
- Expert verbal and written communication with client management and technical teams: 8+ years
- Experience documenting data cleansing and migration plans using Microsoft Office tools and Azure DevOps: 4+ years

- Experience drafting requirement traceability matrices and test plans for requirement validation: 3+ years
