Job Description
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Industrial IoT and embedded systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in architecting, designing, and developing distributed, real-time applications using tools and technologies like Kafka, MQTT, Containers, Kubernetes, and API gateways.
- Experience with Manufacturing data collection systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and Historians.
- Experience with Ignition SCADA.
- Strong understanding of Industrial IoT architectures, protocols, and standards such as MQTT, Sparkplug B, and MODBUS.
- Experience with edge computing platforms and cloud-based IoT services (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub).
- Experience with high-level languages like Java or C# and scripting languages such as Python or Node.js.
- Experience with Timeseries databases or Historians.
- Experience developing and deploying cloud applications using AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of Microservices-based software design principles and best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams to deliver sound technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive product and process improvements.
- Experience working with third parties and offshore development teams.
- Self-driven and results-oriented.
