Onsite 2 days per week - REQUIRED. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO MID-MICHIGAN. Hiring manager is not currently interested in candidates who will need to relocate to accept offer.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to work on the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS) modernization project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain frontend applications using NextJS, ReactJS, and JavaScript
2. Design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces
3. Collaborate with backend teams to design architecture for systems and applications
4. Utilize AWS services for user authentication, data management, and content delivery
5. Implement techniques for fast loading times and smooth user experience
Required Technical Skills
1. NextJS framework
2. ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
3. AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudFront)
4. Containerization technology (Docker, Kubernetes)
5. CI/CD pipelines using Azure Devops
6. Agile development methodologies
Experience
1. 10+ years of overall IT experience
2. 8+ years of experience in frontend development using NextJS, ReactJS, and JavaScript
3. 8+ years of experience with AWS Cloud-based Application Development
4. 8+ years of experience with containerization technology
