Project Manager
Location: Boston, MA MUST be onsite within 40 miles and 60 minutes of drive
Duration: 1 year+
The Project Manager, Events is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an event, from initial concept development to execution, including managing budgets, selecting vendors, coordinating logistics, handling production details, and ensuring the event runs smoothly according to the client's vision, essentially acting as the creative and logistical leader throughout the event planning process.

To that end, they are comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced organization and are energized by leveraging cutting-edge technology to create the future of indoor experiences. This role requires the Project Manager to combine tactical execution skills with strategic expertise to lead cross-functional teams through multiple, often concurrent project lifecycles. This person has to be deadline driven to the core - events don’t get to change their deadline or have scope screep, and achieving a successful event is the ultimate outcome.
The candidate must be a process-oriented, customer-focused, multi-tasking individual with a proven track record in the event or venue Industry, or similar environment combining logistical know-how and overarching awareness of the total outcome. A successful candidate in this role is tech-savvy, approaching event technology solutions with proactivity and curiosity. Further, this candidate proposes new and creative ideas and is highly resourceful, possesses effective communication skills at all levels of stakeholders, and builds constructive and effective relationships.
Core Responsibilities
● Own requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, and deployment support for our global clients and partners
● Proactively partner with commercial and technical stakeholders, regularly educating them on Client’s solutions and deployment process while serving as a key partner to their success
● Serve as the main point of contact for the customer, managing their pre-event planning and set up as well as onsite experience with Client solutions during the event
● Closely collaborate with developers, designers, and deployment managers to integrate Client’s suite of technology with client applications
● Investigate and diagnose hardware and software challenges alongside Client’s delivery teams to ensure solution quality and sustainability
● Act as a liaison between clients, partners, and contractors to coordinate the hardware installation including loan–in/take down schedules, human and logistical resource allocation
● Facilitate client status meetings to manage the scope and schedule of multiple, often concurrent deployments
● Communicate and adhere to project milestones and internal metrics
● Work onsite to ensure success before and during the event – up to 50% travel required, domestic and international
● Learn! Master Client’s product suite to better understand how clients can use our technology and in turn supplement our product roadmap

Minimum Qualifications
● 3+ years of IT project management or technical consultancy experience in the events, venue, sports or entertainment industries
● A self-starter by nature with a strong interest in learning about indoor location technology

Preferred Qualifications
● BS or MS degree in a relevant technology or management field (Computer Science is a plus)
● Experience with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, MS Office, MS Project
● Project Management Professional® (PMP) / Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certifications preferred
