Job Description

Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL.

Work with mainframe system components such as z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, and TSO.

Perform CPU installations and upgrades as a systems programmer.

Install and configure program products using tools like SMP/E and IDCAMS.

Support communication protocols including VTAM and TCP/IP.

Collaborate with teams during enterprise-wide implementations and upgrades.

Use monitoring tools like OMEGAMON for system health and performance.

Support environments using CICS, IMS, DB2, and AFP printing (preferred).

Work with IBM utilities such as IEFBR14, IDCAMS, and Unix System Services (USS).

10+ years of mainframe systems programming and COBOL development experience.

Strong knowledge of z/OS, TSO, SMP/E, JES2, IOCP/HCD.

Experience with mainframe CPU installations.

Familiarity with IBM virtual tape systems and Unix System Services.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Experience with CICS, IMS, DB2, and AFP printing.
- Knowledge of enterprise-scale system upgrades and maintenance.
