Job Title: Education and Training Services Facility Manager
Location: Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically adept and organized Facility Manager to oversee the operations of the Education and Training Services Facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This role requires a solid foundation in IT, AV systems, and network troubleshooting, alongside strong organizational and coordination skills to support over 14,000 annual users, including military and civilian personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical lead for all audiovisual, IT, and satellite broadcast systems in support of training and high-level events.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom IT infrastructure, including computers, smartboards, projectors, and multimedia systems.
Support users with various skill levels in technology setup and troubleshooting; provide training as needed.
Maintain accurate IT inventory, conduct routine physical inspections, and manage IT lifecycle (replacement, repair, upgrade).
Use tools such as Smartsheet, spreadsheets, and databases to manage scheduling, equipment use, and facility operations.
Manage and track IT service requests, resolve user issues, and escalate complex problems to the base CFP or external vendors.
Perform network diagnostics, ensuring connectivity for classroom systems and satellite broadcast setups.
Coordinate facility maintenance with Civil Engineers and contractors using CIPS, WOMS, and NEXGEN systems.
Log, restart, and monitor 65+ workstations weekly to ensure operational readiness.
Provide metrics and reporting on IT and facility performance using charts, graphs, and data analysis.
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity protocols, FPCON readiness, and Air Force safety standards (e.g., AFI 91-203).

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a technical facility lead managing IT/AV systems.
2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a technical or training environment.

Proficiency in:

Windows operating systems
AV hardware/software
Basic networking and troubleshooting
Inventory and asset tracking systems
Experience supporting satellite broadcast courses and IT setup for instructional environments.
Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience obtained within the past 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of military systems, structure, and protocols.

Experience using:

Smartsheet or similar project/facility management tools
CIPS, WOMS, NEXGEN
Cybersecurity compliance standards (e.g., ITEC responsibilities)
