About the Role:
JPMorgan is seeking highly experienced Senior Mainframe Developers to join our technology team for immediate hire across multiple on-site locations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in COBOL and related mainframe technologies, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact solutions in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
- Perform coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning on critical batch and online systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and support teams.
- Handle production support and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and enhance middleware communication using MQ (IBM WebSphere MQ).
- Participate in requirement gathering and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices for mainframe development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mainframe application development and support.
- Experience working in the banking or financial services domain.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
