Job Description
Role: Systems Administrator
Location: Norristown, PA- Hybrid
Duration: 6 Month
Job Responsibilities
- Provision, install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure.
- Administer and support public and private cloud platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Support Microsoft Intune and Autopilot deployments.
- Manage server resources, monitor systems health, and verify job completions (e.g., backups).
- Provide Tier II support for technical issues and oversee the Service Desk platform.
- Implement and maintain system standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Perform daily system monitoring and regular security checks to ensure operational integrity.
- Create, manage, and remove user accounts as requested.
- Oversee backup operations, file archival, and purging.
- Apply OS patches, upgrade system software, and optimize performance.
- Conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and configuration of CPU, memory, and disk.
- Support and maintain data center environments, both on-premise and cloud-based.
- Respond to customer support requests via phone, email, or online platforms.
- Participate in project-related technical planning and support.
- Work in a rotational on-call schedule and occasionally during evenings or weekends as needed.
- Provide occasional travel to local or remote sites to support IT initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server OS systems administration.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure (AWS a plus).
- Microsoft Systems Administration or Systems Engineer certification preferred.
- MS Entra ID and MS Exchange for large-scale environments.
- Windows OS internals, virtual environments, and security.
- Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
- Windows PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
- Apple environments (macOS, iOS).
- VOIP/telephony platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, PDF tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Experience supporting endpoint hardware: computers, printers, monitors, and AV equipment.
