Job Description
Must-Have Skills
- Recent health insurance or healthcare industry experience
- Strong .NET (C#) and SQL Server development
- Experience with EDI feeds: X12 834, 835, 837
- Background in MSMQ messaging-based applications
- Source control experience with TFVC or Git
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Lead design and support of EDI transaction feeds
- Develop and maintain .NET-based backend systems
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and implement requirements
- Provide technical support, including release and on-call support
- Ensure compliance with Highmark IT standards, policies, and procedures
- Participate in project roles including Developer, Tech Lead, or PM
Preferred/Bonus Skills
- Experience with Microsoft BizTalk, SSIS/SSRS, and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Angular, React, or other modern frontend frameworks
- CI/CD pipeline knowledge using GitLab or Azure DevOps
