Location: Remote (Quarterly Travel to Naples, FL – Paid by Client)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior UX Designer with strong medical device experience and a portfolio showcasing design leadership in FDA-regulated or equivalent environments (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304). You'll lead end-to-end UX design efforts for surgical platforms, embedded interfaces, and enterprise medical applications.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
6+ years in UX/UI design with a focus on complex systems
Proven medical device or surgical platform UX background
Experience in FDA-regulated environments or equivalent (ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
Strong ability to translate complex systems into user-friendly experiences
Advanced knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Agile workflows
Ability to produce traceable UX documentation supporting design controls
Must never have been submitted or interviewed with Arthrex

Responsibilities
Lead UX across devices, surgical tools, and enterprise software
Run design discovery, story mapping, and prototyping
Deliver wireframes, flows, and design system components
Conduct usability testing and apply research insights
Document UX decisions to support FDA design control
Nice to Have
Experience with AR/VR, AI/ML, spatial computing
Background in gaming interfaces or hardware-integrated UX
Familiarity with design system governance
