Job Description:
Interview process - 1 IV with Manager, 1 IV with Manager + Team- more analytical type interview where they give the candidate data sets within Excel and ask them to chat through what they see/understand how they interpret the data.  The interview includes a technical Excel exercise.

Project Scope
  • Analyze seasonal and holiday purchase trends (e.g., St. Patrick’s Day corned beef) to ensure accurate supply planning and avoid overbuying.
  • Develop and enhance vendor performance views in Power BI, including trade rates and other key metrics, to support category managers.
  • Collaborate with category managers to identify opportunities for improved performance through data-driven solutions.
  • Support promotional planning and themed activities by providing structured analytics and insights.
  • Identify best and worst-performing trade partners and work jointly on improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and analyze category data to draw meaningful conclusions and highlight anomalies.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and views for margin governance and category performance.
  • Provide structured analytics to empower decision-making for category managers.
  • Assist in promotional target setting and performance tracking.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (including complex functions).
  • Power BI experience (required for at least one role; preferred for both).
  • Experience:  Prior business experience (not entry-level; no strict years of experience requirement).
  • Core Competencies:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and engage with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset—comfortable seeking feedback and driving discussions.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in retail or merchandising.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or Python.
