Job Description
Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Sacramento, CA
Work Type: 100% Onsite
 
Role Overview
The Desktop Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support and systems analysis services in a business or government environment. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in systems analysis and design, and in-depth knowledge of California state IT security standards.
 
Mandatory Qualifications
  1. Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects.

    • At least 3 years of this experience must be in systems analysis and design.

  2. Education
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  3. IT Support Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of recent, full-time experience (within the last 10 years) providing:

      • Help Desk support

      • Desktop support

      • End-user support

    • Experience must include troubleshooting and resolving:

      • Hardware issues

      • Software issues

      • Network connectivity issues

    • Experience must be in a business or government environment.

  4. Security & Compliance
    • Working knowledge of State of California information security requirements, including SIMM 5300.

    • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting California state agencies or departments in:

      • Developing

      • Implementing

      • Supporting information security policies and procedures.

  5. Certifications (Mandatory)
    • One or more of the following valid certifications:
      • CompTIA A+

      • CompTIA Network+

      • CompTIA Security+

      • ITIL

    • A copy of the certification must be provided with the offer.
