Power Systems & EMS / SCADA Expertise
- Strong experience with Power System Applications and/or SCADA systems
- Exposure to EMS applications such as:
- Power Flow
- State Estimation
- Contingency Analysis (N-1 concepts)
- Generation Control / Automatic Generation Control (AGC)
- Alarms and system calculations
- Solid understanding of how SCADA data quality impacts EMS performance
- Experience supporting high-availability control room applications
Platform & Tooling Experience
- Hands-on expertise (preferred) with:
- GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21)
- AEMS Platform
- GE eTerra
- PowerOn Advantage Software
- Experience with equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, or similar vendors
- Exposure to SCADA / DMS / EMS environments
Display & Visualization
- Single Line Diagram (SLD) creation
- HMI development
- Real-time dashboards
- Operator displays and reporting
Programming / Scripting
- Hands-on experience with C, C++, PERL, Java, or equivalent languages
- Application interfacing and scripting expertise
Data Handling & Performance
- Real-time data acquisition
- Historian integration
- Data replication and logging
- Performance tuning and monitoring
- Query optimization, indexing, and database health monitoring
Role Expectations
- Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures for EMS / SCADA applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, and customers
- Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Support customer engagements, including onsite visits as required
