Job Description
Position:: Oracle Lease & Finance Management (OLFM) Functional Lead
Location: Allentown PA. 18035 (Onsite role)
Role Summary
The Oracle Lease & Finance Management (OLFM) Functional Lead owns the end-to-end functional design, configuration, and delivery of OLFM processes, with a primary focus on Contract Authoring (intake to booking) and Termination (early, mid-term, and end-of-term).
This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to translate complex leasing and loan requirements into scalable Oracle EBS OLFM configurations, ensuring accurate pricing and stream generation, compliant accounting, robust controls, and smooth period-end close.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Configuration
• Lead requirements workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for Contract Authoring, including:
o Financial products and lease/loan structures
o Terms & conditions, asset and service lines
o Pricing models and yield calculations
o Stream generation (rent, residual, principal, interest)
o Taxes (EBTax), acceptance and booking events
o Assignable rules, prefunding, security deposits, evergreen processing
• Design and configure Termination processes, including:
o Early, mid-term, and end-of-term termination scenarios
o Termination quote templates and auditability
o Payoffs, buyouts, penalties, fees, and interest accrual cut-offs
o Residual realization, asset return or repossession
o Re-lease, renewal, and settlement billing paths
• Partner with Accounting to define and configure Subledger Accounting (SLA / SLA-AMB) for:
o Contract booking and accruals
o Billing and receipts
o Disbursements and prefunding
o Terminations, write-offs, and residual impacts
o Multi-ledger and multi-GAAP (IFRS / Local GAAP) requirements
• Orchestrate cross-module integrations and end-to-end flows with:
o Accounts Receivable (AR) – billing, receipts, credits
o Accounts Payable (AP) – disbursements, prefunding, short funding
o Fixed Assets (FA) – operating lease depreciation and asset disposal
o General Ledger (GL)
o EBTax
o Order Management, Inventory, and Credit Management (as applicable)
2. Controls, Compliance & Period Close
• Embed strong financial and operational controls, including:
o Stream-to-journal traceability
o Contract- and termination-level audit trails
o Accurate multi-ledger postings and reconciliations
• Define and support the period-close playbook, covering:
o OLFM event processing to SLA and GL
o AR/AP tie-outs and aging
o Fixed Asset depreciation and disposal (where applicable)
o Support internal and external audits
3. Delivery Leadership
• Produce high-quality functional documentation, including:
o Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
o Oracle MD50 / BR100
o Configuration and operational runbooks
• Own test strategy and execution across SIT and UAT, covering:
o Contract authoring scenarios
o Terminations, renewals, and settlements
o Accounting and reconciliation validation
• Manage defects through resolution and sign-off
• Lead cutover activities, including:
o In-flight contract migration
o Termination backlog processing
• Support go-live and hyper-care; mentor junior analysts and coordinate offshore teams and system integrators
4. Data, Migration & Performance
• Guide data migration for:
o Contracts, assets, balances, and termination history
o Life-to-date contract aging and reconstruction
• Define and monitor KPIs and dashboards, including:
o Time-to-book
o Termination cycle time
o Billing accuracy
o Residual realization and exception management
Required Experience & Skills
• 8–12+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite experience
• 5+ years hands-on Oracle Lease & Finance Management (OLFM) experience
• 2+ full lifecycle implementations as functional lead covering Contract Authoring and Termination
• Deep understanding of:
o Operating vs Finance leases and loan constructs
o Pricing, yield calculations, and stream structures (rent, residual, principal, interest)
o Termination, renewal, and re-lease impacts on balances
• Expert-level Subledger Accounting (SLA / SLA-AMB) configuration, including:
o Event classes, Journal Line Definitions (JLDs), and Account Derivation Rules (ADRs)
o Multi-ledger and multi-GAAP accounting
o End-to-end reconciliation across OLFM → AR/AP → SLA → GL → FA
• Proven experience with:
o Contract aging and delinquency setup
o Financial tie-outs and audit support
o Large-scale termination processing
• Excellent stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills
Nice-to-Have
• Professional accounting qualification (CA / CPA)
• Knowledge of IFRS / ASC 842 lessor accounting
• Experience with Investor Agreements and Pools
• Exposure to ECC dashboards and RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) development collaboration
