Job Description
Job Title: Mainframe Support Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Key Responsibilities
Change Management
* Represent Change Requests (CR) in CAB and Pre-CAB meetings
* Coordinate and implement approved CRs
* Perform post-implementation validation checks
* Conduct root cause analysis and manage problem tickets
Environment Support
* Support multi-vendor non-production environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, BAT)
* Provide consulting and defect resolution support in non-production environments
Reporting & Monitoring
* Review incidents and problem tickets
* Track SLAs and performance metrics using ServiceNow
Required Skills & Proficiency
Mainframe Technologies
* COBOL (Expert): Extensive development, debugging, and release support experience
* JCL (Advanced): Strong expertise in batch job scheduling, restart logic, and error handling
* DB2 (Advanced): SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
* VSAM (Beginner to Intermediate): File handling, GDG management, REPRO, IDCAMS
* CICS (Beginner to Intermediate): Online transaction processing (limited exposure required)
* REXX (Beginner to Intermediate): Scripting and automation
