Title: Senior Business Analyst – Virtual Application Portfolio & Migration
Location: Louisville, TN
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to play a critical role in understanding, documenting, andanalyzing our portfolio of business applications currently hosted within a Citrix Virtual Apps environment.
This role will serve as a key bridge between business application owners and engineering teams, ensuring
that application requirements, usage patterns, and technical dependencies are clearly understood and
translated into actionable insights.
The Senior Business Analyst will have significant interaction with business stakeholders and application
owners, performing deep analysis of application usage, compute requirements, and operational challenges.
This role is essential to driving informed decision-making as we plan and execute a large-scale
Citrix migration and modernize our virtual application strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead analysis and documentation efforts for business applications hosted within the Citrix Virtual Apps environment.
Engage directly with business application owners and stakeholders to understand application purpose, usage patterns, dependencies, and future needs.
Analyze customer and user footprints, including how applications are consumed and the associated compute, performance, and scalability requirements.
Capture and document current-state application details, including architecture, constraints, risks, and known challenges.
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to translate business and application requirements into technical requirements and solution considerations.
Review application and business needs holistically to help guide decisions that move the business forward.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement within the current application landscape.
Develop clear, structured documentation that can be used to support planning, prioritization, and migration decisions.
In later project stages, follow up with application owners on required readiness activities and progress toward migration milestones.
Support migration planning efforts by helping define application readiness criteria, sequencing considerations, and business impact assessments.
Act as a trusted advisor to both business and technical teams throughout the lifecycle of analysis, planning, and migration.
Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, preferably supporting enterprise infrastructure or application modernization initiatives.
Strong background in data analysis, documentation, and requirements gathering across complex application environments.
Experience working closely with business application owners and translating business needs into technical requirements.
Ability to understand application behavior and requirements from a compute, performance, and user-experience perspective.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, learn quickly, and adapt as requirements and strategies evolve.
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applications and stakeholders simultaneously.
Preferred Experience supporting applications hosted in virtual or remote application environments (e.g., Citrix or similar platforms).
Exposure to large-scale migration or transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with application portfolio analysis, rationalization, or modernization efforts.
Experience working in environments where business and technical teams must closely collaborate to drive change.
