.Net Technical Architect
Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with the Solution Architect to translate target architecture into actionable technical designs, provides coverage in the SA’s absence, and challenges designs to improve feasibility, and delivery outcomes.
- Own and Drive the Architecture for one of the 2 modules.
- Define detailed technical architecture and design patterns for assigned domains
- Lead refactoring and modernization efforts with a focus on pragmatic, low risk execution
- Design scalable solutions across APIs, background processing, data, and caching layers
- Guide teams on .NET, database, and frontend architecture best practices
- Ensure consistent implementation of non functional requirements (performance, security, resiliency)
- Review code, designs, and pull requests for architectural compliance
- Support incremental modernization without disrupting business critical workflows
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks
Required Experience (Must Have):
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Architect
- Strong hands on experience in enterprise application development and refactoring
- Proven ability to work within existing legacy systems while modernizing incrementally
- Experience working closely with Scrum teams and Agile delivery models
Core Technologies (Must Have):
- .NET / .NET Core ecosystems
- Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Relational databases (Oracle)
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Frontend technologies: React (web), basic awareness of mobile frameworks
- Caching technologies (Redis preferred)
- REST APIs, async/event driven architectures
- Security & identity patterns (OAuth, JWT, centralized IAM)
Good to Have:

Experience with Payroll and/or HCM, or regulated enterprise domains

Experience working with executive leadership and client facing architecture roles

Familiarity with Agile at scale, release governance, and dependency management
