Job Description
Role: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Engineer (2–4 Years Experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) platforms.
- Build and manage highly available IWS environments on AWS.
- Install, configure, and maintain Dynamic Workload Console (DWC).
- Perform migration of TWS from on-prem (AIX) to AWS (Linux).
- Assess and optimize current TWS architecture in AWS environments.
- Handle DB2 migration and integration with TWS.
- Establish and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and BCP strategies in AWS.
- Support DR drills, swing operations, and failover mechanisms.
Platform Administration & Support
- Provide L1/L2 support for TWS platform issues.
- Perform advanced administration:
- Installations, upgrades, and patching
- Automation and LDAP integration
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Troubleshoot complex issues beyond scheduling/support teams.
- Provide on-call support for batch scheduling operations.
Scheduling & Operations
- Manage scheduling objects (jobs, job streams, dependencies).
- Configure alerts and monitoring mechanisms.
- Handle account IDs for job execution.
- Maintain calendars and scheduling configurations.
- Deploy and manage agents across workload servers.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Build and maintain TWS infrastructure on AWS.
- Implement high availability and scalability solutions.
- Migrate workloads from AIX to Linux environments.
- Design and implement robust DR strategies in AWS.
Governance & Improvements
- Stay updated with latest Tivoli/IWS releases and patches.
- Recommend upgrades and improvements to management.
- Liaise with vendors for:
- Security patches
- Product upgrades
- Develop test cases and validate system performance.
Essential Skills -

- AWS cloud platform
- Linux systems
- DB2 database
