Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop semantic models and Power BI dashboards by integrating data from multiple sources, including Azure DevOps and Halo, to provide Team Leads and stakeholders with a unified, comprehensive view of operational data.
- Create calculated columns and advanced DAX measures to deliver customized KPIs, metrics, and actionable insights aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and optimize KQL and SQL queries to filter, aggregate, and join data from various data sources for seamless Power BI integration.
- Own Power BI dataset governance and security, including role-based access control (RLS), workspace management, and adherence to organizational data standards.
- Manage the Power BI deployment pipeline, ensuring reports and datasets move reliably from development through testing and into production.
- Utilize Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse for data ingestion from Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring consistent data append, availability, and readiness for downstream semantic models and reporting.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable analytics solutions.
Generic Managerial Skills:
- Data Center Discovery and Migration, Infrastructure as Code(IaC); Azure Monitoring; Kusto; ADO
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and reports.
- Expertise in DAX, including complex calculations, measures, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL and KQL for querying, transforming, and aggregating data.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) data and enterprise reporting use cases.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse or modern data lake / lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Power BI security, governance, and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to work independently with end-to-end ownership of analytics solutions.
