Qualifications
- Experience: 6–8 years of relevant experience in business analysis within financial services or technology domains.
- Capital Markets Expertise:
- Experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets with exposure to regulatory frameworks such as CCAR reporting, Basel, or similar compliance projects.
- Product Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of banking products such as Mortgages, Deposits, Trading, Securities, Debt, Derivatives, Margin,
- Collateral Management, Capital planning, RWA, and liquidity reporting
- Analyze and interpret balance sheet components and provide actionable insights.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project).
- Advanced SQL query skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between business users and technology teams to define system scope and objectives for complex projects.
- Capital Markets Expertise:
- Experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets with exposure to regulatory frameworks such as CCAR reporting, Basel, or similar compliance projects.
- Product Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of banking products such as Mortgages, Deposits, Trading, Securities, Debt, Derivatives, Margin, and Collateral Management.
- Analyze and interpret balance sheet components and provide actionable insights.
- Consult with users and clients to resolve complex system issues through in-depth evaluation of business processes and industry standards.
- Support system changes management processes from requirements gathering through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define problem statements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for projects.
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of technology solutions.
- Provid e guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, act as SME for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and internal policies while maintaining transparency in risk management.
- Collaborate with UAT teams on test strategy, scenario preparation, defect triaging, and coordination.
- Exposure to various SDLC methodologies and ability to adapt to different project environments.
- Provide post-implementation support and ensure smooth transition of deliverables.
