Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead complex analysis, requirements definition, and testing efforts across multiple applications and business domains. This role partners closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business needs and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and impact analysis across systems
- Drive testing strategy, including test planning, execution, and defect management
- Support system design, integrations, and data mapping activities
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior analysts
- Promote best practices in SDLC, quality assurance, and process improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in business systems or application analyst or a related role in SHAW Classic version.
- Strong data analysis and querying skills
- Experience with user story creation, testing, and solution design
- Basic knowledge of mainframe systems (CICS, VSAM, flat files)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Agile/SDLC environments
- Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and data mapping
- Experience working across multiple teams or platforms
- Background in enterprise or regulated environments
