Job Description
We are seeking an 8+ years of experienced ETL Developer with strong hands-on expertise in IBM DataStage and IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale ETL solutions and data integration pipelines.
The role will also involve data migration and modernization initiatives, including migration from traditional DataStage environments to cloud-native data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL and data integration solutions using IBM DataStage 11.x and above.
- Develop scalable and high-performance data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing.
- Support DataStage migration and modernization initiatives involving IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).
- Develop reusable ETL frameworks, shared containers, parameter sets, and automation components.
- Perform complex data mapping, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, and validation.
- Perform ETL job, database, and data-flow performance tuning and optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
- Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA, and other technical teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Create and maintain technical design documents, source-to-target mappings, and operational runbooks.
- Follow enterprise security, data governance, and data quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage 11.x or above.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).
- Strong ETL design and development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Advanced SQL.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling.
- Experience with Data Migration and Modernization.
- Experience in ETL performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting skills.
- Experience working with high-volume enterprise data environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience migrating ETL workloads from IBM DataStage to IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
- Exposure to cloud-native data architecture and modernization programs.
- Experience with Autosys, Control-M, or other enterprise scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Experience with DevOps and automated deployment pipelines.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise data platforms.
