Job Description
We are seeking an individual with hands-on knowledge of NoSQL database administration, including technologies such as Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, and StarDog, deployed on Linux VM and Kubernetes. This role involves the creation and implementation of NoSQL database clusters and the maintenance of multiple production and non-production environments. The position requires experience in troubleshooting, upgrades, configuration management, and patching, along with skills in Ansible automation, OLAM playbook development, and AI Native development for platform support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance for new and existing NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks on Linux VM & Kubernetes.
- Utilize AI Native development skills for Spec Driven Development (SDD).
- Assist in planning and executing database patching, upgrades, and resource expansion to ensure scalability.
- Perform debugging, tuning, and performance enhancement of the NoSQL database platform.
- Monitor database health, High Availability, Disaster Recovery solutions, and Backup/Recovery operations.
- Design and develop database systems to meet application and business requirements across multiple platforms.
- Provide guidance on best practices and standards for database-related activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Experience: Requires 12+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of related experience with a master’s degree in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VM & Kubernetes. The current environment includes Neo4j and StarDog.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development for NoSQL database platform provisioning, installation, and administration.
- Proficient with NoSQL database administration (e.g., Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog).
- Familiarity with AI Native Spec Driven Development (SDD).
- Deep understanding of database principles, cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configuration.
- Knowledge of monitoring, management, capacity planning, and compaction strategy.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery, connectivity, and security.
Professional Skills:
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications in Ansible automation development, DataStax Cassandra, Elastic Search, or Neo4j are preferred.
