Job Description
We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases and data solutions supporting enterprise healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, database design, and SSIS/SSRS, along with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
 
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database objects.
Design and maintain relational database structures, tables, indexes, and data models.
Perform query and database performance tuning, including indexing and execution-plan analysis.
Develop and support SSIS ETL packages and data integration processes.
Create and maintain SSRS reports and reporting solutions.
Troubleshoot database, data, and application-related issues and provide root-cause analysis.
Work with application and business teams to translate requirements into database solutions and ERDs.
Support data migration, integration, validation, and production deployments.
Follow SDLC practices including coding standards, code reviews, testing, source control, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and healthcare data requirements.
Collaborate with developers, QA, business analysts, and other technical teams.
 
Required Skills : 
5+ years of SQL Server development experience.
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Hands-on experience with DDL, DML, DCL, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and complex queries.
Strong knowledge of query optimization, indexing, execution plans, and performance tuning.
Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
Strong understanding of database design, normalization, data modeling, and relational database concepts.
Experience with SQL Server environments, including linked servers, replication, backup/restore, and multi-server environments.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
 
Preferred
Healthcare / health-plan industry experience.
Knowledge of healthcare databases and healthcare data privacy requirements.
Experience with C#, Java, REST/SOAP services, or application integration.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
