Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior iOS Developer and play a key role in shaping the future of the platform we are building for our clients.
The candidate will serve as a technical expert on a large-scale mobile development project consisting of both onshore and offshore developers. The Mobile Developer will work closely with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, and Technical Managers to build native applications.
The Mobile Developer will be responsible for ensuring the team creates functional, scalable, and maintainable code while utilizing existing customer patterns.
Important: For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration-related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be available.
This position is located at the client site five days a week in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, Pheonix, AZ, or Denver, CO.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for sound and high-quality technical deliverables.
- Analyze, quantize, and estimate the amount of work for every sprint or release.
- Understand the requirements and current state architecture of the enterprise and create a roadmap for future enhancements accordingly.
- Develop mobile application code in coordination with other team members.
- Integrate the mobile applications with the centralized authentication application.
- Create Software Architecture Document, High Level and Low Level Design document, and Nonfunctional requirements for the project.
- Work in an Agile environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business.
- Be hands-on to develop or fix issues to deliver on time and with the highest quality.
- Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.
- Ensure that software design patterns like MVP, MVVM are strictly followed. The objective is to define consistent layers in the software to ensure maintainability and longevity of the code.
- Groom the team and develop the application with customer-centric ideas and innovation as the core of every activity, helping the team attain a benchmark within the organization for others to follow and achieve.
- Escalate issues and concerns to the leads in a timely manner to avoid impacts to timelines.
- Effectively participate in requirements gathering and requirements analysis.
- Apply technologies and domain knowledge effectively in the delivery of developed components or integrated components.
- Work effectively on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors.
- Perform triage or analysis of situations for production support.
- Have knowledge of biometric authentication and device capabilities like Camera, Phone state, Location, Notifications, Permissions management, etc.
Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role
- 7+ years of experience with mobile development.
- 5+ years of experience with iOS App Development on Swift, Swift UI and Objective C.
- Strong Object oriented background.
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
- Experience with XCode for coding, debugging, and deploying iOS apps.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and mobile memory management.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back end services.
- Familiarity with app architecture patters MVC, MVP, MVVM.
- 4+ Experience integrating with RESTful API's and JSON.
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
- Knowledge of low level C based libraries is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems for code management.
- Experience with XCTestFramework and XCUITestFramework.
- Exceptional at component and unit testing of following standard practices and methodologies.
- Excel with on time delivery with minimal supervision.
- Strong agile/scrum development experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams2.
