Job Description
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional quality assurance or software development in test experience
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing test strategies for complex, multi-component software systems, including integration test planning, test case design, and test execution ownership
- Experience building test automation frameworks for networked or embedded software — including automated regression suites, CI/CD pipeline integration, and hardware-in-the-loop or emulated-hardware test environments
- Experience with quality management system (QMS) processes — including process documentation, requirements traceability, defect lifecycle management, and quality metrics definition and reporting
- Experience with software defect management tools and bug lifecycle processes, including root cause analysis and regression verification
- Proficiency with one or more programming or scripting languages for test automation — Python, Go, Bash, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing QMS processes from scratch in an early-stage program — defining quality workflows, compliance checklists, supplier quality requirements, and certification evidence generation processes for a team that does not have an existing QA framework
- Experience testing embedded or networked systems software
- Experience with requirements traceability tools and methodologies — building and maintaining bidirectional traceability matrices from requirements through test cases to test results, in a context where traceability is reviewed by external regulatory or customer auditors
- Experience designing and executing performance validation testing — defining measurable acceptance criteria for latency, throughput, availability, and recovery timing requirements, and building test infrastructure to validate against those criteria
- Experience with security-adjacent test coverage — including cryptographic validation testing, authentication and session management testing, privileged access control verification, or over-the-air update pipeline integrity testing
- Experience with containerized software testing — testing containerized workloads across
- multiple hardware targets, validating resource isolation, lifecycle management, and cross-platform behavioral consistency
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
