Qualifications Required
- 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, with strong emphasis on backend systems.
- Proficiency in Java/Python/Node.js (including equivalent enterprise frameworks); comfortable owning a service end-to-end from API contract to deployment.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or similar) — compute, serverless functions, messaging queues, managed databases, and API gateway patterns; familiarity with cloud-native deployment.
- Event-driven systems experience — designing and consuming events in distributed architectures; experience with a major messaging platform (Kafka, Kinesis, or comparable).
- Data platform and database fluency — relational and NoSQL datastores; ability to design and query data models for operational and analytical use cases.
- Enterprise API navigation — experience consuming and integrating with large-scale enterprise APIs; understanding of REST, OAuth, idempotency, and contract-first API design.
- Distributed systems fundamentals- service decomposition, eventual consistency, retry and DLQ patterns, audit and traceability by design
