Job Description
RPA Business Analyst (UiPath)
We are looking for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business teams and RPA delivery teams. This is not a documentation-heavy BA role. We need someone who can walk into a business process discussion, quickly identify automation opportunities, challenge inefficient ways of working, and help shape practical automation solutions using UiPath.
The ideal candidate should have worked on multiple end-to-end RPA implementations and be comfortable engaging with business stakeholders, process owners, developers, architects, and operations teams throughout the automation lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will spend most of your time understanding how business processes work today and figuring out how they can be simplified through automation.
A typical day could involve conducting process discovery workshops with business teams, assessing automation feasibility, preparing a Process Definition Document (PDD), reviewing solution approaches with UiPath developers, supporting UAT activities, and presenting expected business benefits to stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Working directly with business users to understand current processes, pain points, exceptions, and operational challenges.
- Identifying and qualifying automation opportunities based on business value, complexity, and implementation effort.
- Creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and detailed process documentation.
- Preparing PDDs, business requirement documents, and supporting artifacts required for automation development.
- Collaborating with UiPath Developers and Solution Architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood before development starts.
- Supporting test planning, UAT execution, defect triage, and production deployment activities.
- Helping business teams understand the impact of automation and driving user adoption.
- Tracking benefits realization and ensuring automation delivers the expected outcomes.
- Contributing to automation governance, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
The right person will have a strong mix of business analysis skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and a good understanding of how RPA solutions are designed and delivered.
should have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- At least 3 years working specifically on RPA projects.
- Hands-on experience with UiPath automation engagements.
- Experience creating PDDs, business cases, process assessments, UAT documentation, and process workflows.
- Strong process mapping skills using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile or Waterfall delivery models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Experience
- UiPath Business Analyst certification or UiPath Academy training.
- Experience with Process Mining, Task Mining, or Intelligent Document Processing solutions.
- Exposure to AI-led automation initiatives.
- Experience in Banking, Insurance, Retail, Telecom, Utilities, Healthcare, or Shared Services environments.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first few months, you should be able to independently lead process discovery sessions, build an automation pipeline, produce high-quality requirements, and work closely with delivery teams to move opportunities from idea to production.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just document processes but actively helps customers find smarter ways of working through automation.
