Job Description
Role Summary
Senior Cloud Architect needed to lead end-to-end data center migrations from VMware to AWS. You will own architecture design, hybrid networking, security guardrails, IaC automation, and database/VM cutovers for large-scale migration programs.
Key Technical Requirements:
- Migration Tools: AWS MGN, AWS DMS, AWS Transform, VMware-to-AWS cutover, DB Replication, BYOL handling.
- Hybrid Networking: AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Transit Gateway, VPCs, ALB/NLB.
- Landing Zone & Security: AWS Control Tower, Account Factory, SCPs, IAM Identity Center, Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS.
- Automation & Resiliency: Terraform, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/CodePipeline), AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS), AWS Backup, CloudWatch.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive Migration Strategy: Lead lift-and-shift and re-platforming executions from on-premise data centers to AWS.
- Build Foundations: Architect multi-account Landing Zones, enforce SCP guardrails, and implement hybrid connectivity.
- Automate Infrastructure: Write reusable IaC modules in Terraform and set up automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Ensure Compliance & DR: Define multi-region Disaster Recovery, automated backups, and unified monitoring/SIEM integrations.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Infrastructure/Cloud experience, with proven success executing VMware-to-AWS migrations.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred.
