Job Description
Must-Have Qualifications
- Deep GCP experience: BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, VPC design, VPC Service Controls, IAM, organization policies, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging/Monitoring.
- Working Azure experience: Azure Landing Zones/Cloud Adoption Framework, AKS, Azure Storage/ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Entra ID, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps.
- Strong cloud networking knowledge: routing, peering, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity, firewall, and egress design.
- Expert-level SQL and Python for tooling/automation.
- Production Terraform experience, including authoring and maintaining modules.
- Strong data modeling skills, including dimensional and denormalized models.
- Experience owning production platforms at meaningful scale, such as TB-to-PB warehouses, 100+ source systems, or 500+ BI users.
- Real-world multi-cloud/hybrid cloud experience.
- Strong client-facing communication and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
Strongly Preferred
- Looker / LookML hands-on development and administration — identified as the biggest differentiator.
- Dataform or dbt at scale with established environment promotion processes.
- Demonstrated FinOps experience with quantifiable cost savings.
- Cloud migration or BI consolidation experience, including Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik → Looker.
- Exposure to production GenAI or agentic AI workloads on cloud infrastructure.
