Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, MongoDB, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven applications.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of backend architecture, distributed systems, NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and software development best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
Develop event-driven applications and asynchronous communication using Apache Kafka.
Design and implement Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and error-handling mechanisms.
Develop and optimize data models and queries using MongoDB.
Implement efficient indexing, aggregation, schema design, and performance optimization in MongoDB.
Integrate MongoDB and Kafka with Spring Boot-based microservices.
Develop secure, reliable, and high-performance backend services.
Participate in application architecture, technical design, and code review activities.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code following Java and Spring best practices.
Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, frontend, product, and other engineering teams.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation.
Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for scalability and optimization.
Required Technical Skills
Strong programming experience in Core Java 8/11/17+.
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.
Strong experience developing REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
Strong experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases.
Good understanding of MongoDB collections, indexes, aggregation, replication, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java Streams.
Experience with Maven or Gradle.
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and unit/integration testing.
Good understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.
