Job Description
Maximo Architect (IBM Maximo & Azure (Integration Focus))
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9) and Microsoft Azure, specialising in cloud architecture, containerisation, and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and manage containerised Maximo environments on Azure, leveraging Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes, and lead end-to-end integration across enterprise systems, IoT, and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Azure Cloud Deployment
- Design scalable, secure Azure infrastructure for MAS, MAS Mobile, and MAS Data
- Configure Azure Virtual Networks, storage, and database services (Azure SQL, managed databases)
- Ensure High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and cloud-native architecture
Containerisation & DevOps
- Architect and manage Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters for MAS deployments
- Implement containerisation using Docker and orchestration strategies
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible
- Enable automated deployments and infrastructure-as-code
IBM Maximo / MAS Expertise
- Lead architecture, installation, configuration, and upgrades of MAS 8.x / 9.x
- Work on AppPoints, MAS Manage, MAS Workplace, and IoT modules
- Provide technical leadership across Maximo implementations and enhancements
Integration & Enterprise Connectivity
- Design integration solutions using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
- Build API-led integrations using REST/SOAP, Azure API Management, Kafka
- Integrate with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, and third-party platforms
- Enable IoT and GIS integrations within Maximo ecosystem
Cloud Security & Compliance
- Implement Azure-native security, including Azure Active Directory (AAD)
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and governance frameworks
- Design secure hybrid or cloud-native MAS environments
Performance, Governance & Optimization
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning in Azure environments
- Establish best practices aligned with ITIL and enterprise architecture standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance and reliability
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8/9)
- Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Networking, Security, VMs, AKS, DevOps)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker
- Strong integration experience with MIF, Kafka, REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with databases: Db2, Oracle, SQL Server
- Proven experience in enterprise-level architecture and cloud deployments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IoT and GIS integrations in Maximo
- Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or IBM Maximo
- Prior experience in asset management or EAM systems
- Exposure to large-scale cloud migration projects
