Job Description
About the Role:
The Data Architect will work closely with the client to assess the current reporting and data landscape and define a scalable approach for transitioning reporting to the new system. The role will lead technical discovery, assess report and data dependencies, define the target reporting/data architecture, and develop a representative prototype and repeatable migration framework. The Architect will provide hands-on technical leadership and client advisory while ensuring the approach can scale across the broader reporting landscape.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong enterprise data and reporting architecture experience across complex, multi-source environments.
- Expertise in data modeling, semantic layers, data integration, SQL, and modern cloud data platforms.
- Ability to analyze legacy-to-new-system data mappings, report dependencies, interfaces, and downstream impacts.
- Experience designing POCs, reference architectures, and repeatable migration frameworks for large-scale reporting transformations.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality, lineage, security, performance, and scalable architecture patterns.

- Strong client advisory and consultative skills, able to guide stakeholders through complex architecture decisions.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and evolving requirements, establishing structure and direction quickly.
- Hands-on and pragmatic, balancing strategic architecture with the immediate needs of discovery and prototyping.

- Collaborative leader who works effectively with business/reporting analysts, engineers, client SMEs, and technology teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics architecture, data engineering, or enterprise reporting modernization.
- Proven experience leading large-scale data/reporting modernization or system migration initiatives.
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms, SQL, data integration, semantic/data modeling, and BI architecture.
- Demonstrated experience developing POCs/reference architectures and scalable migration frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; experience with Power BI, Snowflake/Databricks or comparable enterprise platforms preferred.
