Platform Engineer with AWS, Azure and Kubernetes
Position Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and optimize cloud-native platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD implementation, platform reliability, and developer enablement.
- As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure while driving DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Build and manage scalable container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes - EKS.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Implement platform automation to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor platform performance, reliability, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to build cloud-native solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues across environments.
- Drive platform standardization, scalability, observability, and automation initiatives.
- Support disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services, including:
- EC2
- EKS
- VPC
- IAM
- Route 53
- S3
- CloudWatch
- RDS
- Load Balancers
- Auto Scaling
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and operations.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform with experience managing complex infrastructure environments.
- Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- GitOps principles
- Containerization (Docker)
- Linux Administration
- Networking and Security Concepts
- Monitoring and Logging Solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Kubernetes-based environments.
- Strong experience deploying and supporting production workloads in AWS.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator).
- Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, or other Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience implementing observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Exposure to multi-account AWS architectures and enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
