Deployment Automation & Orchestration: Engineer, maintain, and optimize release management lifecycles with Octopus Deploy as the primary deployment engine alongside Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.

Configuration Management & State Governance: Enforce system drift control, policy automation, and server configurations utilizing Azure Desired State Configuration (DSC) or Azure Machine Configuration.

Database & Workload Support: Support and configure enterprise workloads, including SQL Server running on IaaS virtual machines.

DevSecOps & Code Security: Embed automated security scans, container inspection, and dependency vulnerability management into delivery pipelines using Snyk.

Observability & APM: Instrument and optimize system health, trace logs, application performance metrics, and automated alerts utilizing New Relic.

Consultative Delivery: Actively participate in architectural discussions, advise teams on modern deployment patterns, and leverage AI coding tools (Claude, Devin) to accelerate workflow efficiency.

Experience Baseline: Senior-level experience operating as a lead or principal DevOps/Platform engineer in enterprise, production-scale environments.

Core CI/CD & Deployment (Mandatory): Deep, practical mastery of Octopus Deploy paired with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub Enterprise.

Azure Cloud Engineering: In-depth proficiency across core Azure components: Compute (VMs, Function Apps), Networking (App Gateway, Front Door, VNets), and Security (Azure Key Vault, IAM).

Infrastructure as Code: Advanced, production-grade template authoring and state management using Terraform.

System Configuration: Hands-on experience enforcing machine state through Azure DSC or Azure Machine Configuration.

Security & Observability: Direct implementation experience with Snyk for pipeline scanning and New Relic for telemetry and alerting.

Database Infrastructure: Hands-on experience administering and supporting SQL Server on Azure IaaS.

Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal communication and consulting presence, with comfort engaging on video and driving technical discussions.
