Job Description
Full Stack Developer – React & Node.js
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, particularly React and Node.js, to join our client’s engineering team in Foster City, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance web applications and working across both frontend and backend technologies.
Experience with EV charging applications, electric vehicle (EV) platforms, charging infrastructure, or related mobility/automotive applications is highly preferred and will be an important differentiator for this role.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related technologies.
· Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
· Build robust backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js.
· Collaborate with product managers, architects, UI/UX designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
· Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
· Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across frontend and backend components.
· Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture/design decisions.
· Work in an Agile development environment and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Ensure applications meet security, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
· Strong professional experience in Full Stack Development.
· Excellent hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
· Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
· Strong experience with Node.js and backend application development.
· Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
· Good understanding of frontend architecture, state management, component design, and responsive UI development.
· Experience with databases such as SQL and/or NoSQL.
· Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
· Ability to work onsite in Foster City, CA from Day 1, 4 days per week.
Preferred / Highly Desired Qualifications:
· Experience working on EV charging applications, EV charging platforms, charging stations/infrastructure, or electric mobility solutions.
· Experience working with clients/projects in the automotive, electric vehicle, energy, mobility, or transportation domain.
· Experience integrating applications with EV charging systems, charging networks, or related APIs is a strong plus.
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architecture.
· Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and modern DevOps practices.
Important Requirement:
Candidates with prior experience working on EV charging applications or projects for EV/automotive/energy clients are strongly preferred. This domain experience will be considered an important advantage during the selection process.
