Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for Murex platform, including troubleshooting application issues, EOD batch job failures, and system performance problems
- Debug Murex services and datamart reports; analyze logs and traces to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Manage release and environment configuration, including binary upgrades, backup and restore procedures, and production deployments
- Administer Unix/Linux infrastructure, disk space, and memory management; troubleshoot operating system-level issues and optimize system performance
- Write and maintain Unix shell scripts, Python, and Perl scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks
- Support incident and problem management processes; document issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles for operational continuity
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on trade life cycle systems, fixed income, and derivative product support
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience with Murex platform and Mx Architecture in a banking or financial services environment
- Advanced proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems, including shell scripting, system administration, and troubleshooting
- Strong SQL and Oracle database skills; experience with database tuning, query optimization, and backup/restore operations
- Expertise in Python and Perl scripting; experience with Job Scheduler and Unix/Linux tools for batch job automation
- Proficiency with SVN, JIRA, and release management tools
- Knowledge of trade life cycle processes, fixed income products, and derivative instruments in capital markets
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, production-support environment
