Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Informatica ETL Lead with 10+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale data integration and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, data warehousing, SQL, and ETL architecture, along with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and support of ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable ETL and data integration solutions.
- Design and implement complex mappings, workflows, sessions, and reusable components.
- Lead ETL development teams and perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to define data integration strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL production issues while ensuring minimal business impact.
- Support data migration, data quality, data governance, and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare technical design documents, deployment plans, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in ETL and Data Warehousing.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Strong experience in ETL design, development, and performance tuning.
- Extensive experience with SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with relational databases such as:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Teradata
- Snowflake (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Fact and Dimension Modeling
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M or equivalent.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Informatica IICS (Intelligent Cloud Services).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to data lake and modern data platform architectures.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
Leadership Expectations
- Lead and mentor ETL development teams.
- Drive technical discussions with customers and business stakeholders.
- Provide effort estimations and technical solution recommendations.
- Ensure delivery quality and adherence to project timelines.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Informatica certifications will be an added advantage.
