Typical Day in the Role
Partner with the engineering team to keep development and validation infrastructure running smoothly. A typical day may include provisioning and troubleshooting Linux/Windows compute environments, automating environment setup, improving CI/CD and test pipelines, maintaining benchmarking infrastructure, investigating performance or test regressions, and removing infrastructure friction that slows developer iteration.
• Purpose of the Team: The team is working on engineering infrastructure supporting testing, benchmarking, systems integration, and AI-enabled automation/AIOps. The role is systems- and infrastructure-focused rather than traditional machine learning development.

Ideal Background of Candidates
An infrastructure/DevOps or systems engineer with strong Linux fundamentals who is comfortable working close to systems software. Ideally they have experience with CI/CD and automation, cloud compute environments, virtualization/hypervisors, scripting, and troubleshooting complex development environments. Experience with performance benchmarking, VM lifecycle operations, Windows/Linux test environments, or systems research is especially valuable.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join a small, high-impact research engineering team building a new micro-VM platform optimized for low-latency, high-density agentic workloads. The team operates at the intersection of systems research and product engineering, with direct impact on how cloud infrastructure runs AI workloads at scale.
In this role, you will own the full infrastructure stack that supports the team: provisioning and managing compute environments, building and maintaining benchmarking frameworks, and ensuring a robust CI/CD and test pipeline. Your work directly unblocks the engineering team's ability to iterate quickly, validate results with confidence, and ship toward production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Setup
• Provision and manage multi-platform cloud compute environments
• Automate environment configuration and reduce setup overhead
• Coordinate host access and isolation across team workloads
• Maintain cloud subscriptions in a compliant, cost-efficient manner
• Improve development environment and agentic engineering
Benchmarking Infrastructure
• Own and extend the benchmarking harness for VM lifecycle measurements
• Track key metrics: boot latency, snapshot/restore, teardown, memory footprint, throughput
• Design experiments for single-instance and concurrent-burst scenarios
• Surface regressions and validation improvements across system baselines
Testing Infrastructure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across all project repositories
• Automate build, test, and validation workflows on every commit
• Manage binary delivery channels for kernel, VM, and agent artifacts
• Accelerate developer iteration loops and reduce feedback cycle time
WHY THIS ROLE
This project is at an inflection point — having achieved a key performance milestone, the team is now transitioning from research prototype to production hardening. The infrastructure is on the critical path. The right engineer in this role will directly shape the team's velocity and the reliability of results that drive product decisions.
