Job Description
Senior QA Automation Engineer (Selenium Automation Framework)

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who can help build and maintain our test automation. The main focus will be creating a Selenium-based automation framework and using it to automate testing for our existing web applications. The goal is to reduce manual regression testing, improve test coverage, and help the team release software with confidence.

Key Responsibilities
Understand the Applications: Learn the existing applications, business rules, user workflows, and important test scenarios.
Manual and Functional Testing: Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed to understand the application and make sure the requirements and test cases are clear before automating them.
Build the Automation Framework: Create a reusable and maintainable Selenium WebDriver framework using Java or Python and standard object-oriented programming practices.
Automate Existing Applications: Review existing application workflows and convert important manual test cases into reliable automated tests.
Create Reliable Locators: Use XPath and CSS selectors effectively, especially when working with older or complex web applications.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI so tests can run as part of the development and deployment process.
API and Database Testing: Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured and use SQL queries to verify backend data.
Maintain Stable Tests: Find and fix flaky or unreliable automation scripts and keep the test results consistent.
Work with the Team: Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify the right areas for automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of QA/Software Quality Engineering experience, with strong experience in UI automation.
Selenium: Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks such as Page Object Model.
Programming: Good knowledge of Java or Python and object-oriented programming concepts.
SQL: Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
Git: Hands-on experience with Git and working with source code branches.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot automation issues and complete work independently with limited supervision.
Playwright: Experience working with Playwright or migrating existing automation to newer tools.
Cloud: Experience testing applications hosted in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
Maven: Familiarity with Maven or similar build tools.
