Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, well-structured data models and schemas
- Build and maintain reliable, production-grade data pipelines and workflows
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Analytics, Engineering) to enable data-driven capabilities
- Ensure high performance, data quality, and operational reliability across the stack
- Own ETL/ELT processes using modern frameworks and tools
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields
- Strong SQL skills, including schema design and query optimization
- Proficient in Python for scripting, transformations, and data manipulation
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SnapLogic, Airflow, or DBT
- Strong understanding of ETL process. Knowledge of an ETL vendor is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, Athena, and AWS core concepts)
- Familiarity with Data modeling and schema design
- Proficient in analytical and data modeling tools, such as Python, R, or PyCharm
- Understanding of data first mindset - good knowledge of databases.
- Strong coding skills - Java/Python. Either is fine, we can work with it.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript - around data manipulation, expression libraries and JS syntax
- Very strong documentation skills - we are a platform team starting new so everything must be documented in a clear way
- Self starter and must work in an agile environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communicator with a focus on clear documentation and team alignment
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
- Deep familiarity with SnapLogic or other modern ETL platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows and DataOps best practices
