Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Manufacturing Functional Consultant with 8–10+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBS manufacturing solutions in a discrete manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS R12, preferably R12.1.3, with deep knowledge of Work in Process (WIP), Bills of Material (BOM), Inventory, Engineering, and manufacturing/shop-floor operations.
This role will be responsible for supporting manufacturing business processes, leading functional requirements and solution design, collaborating with technical teams on RICE components, and contributing to Oracle EBS implementations, migrations, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional subject matter expert for Oracle EBS Manufacturing.
  • Analyze, design, and support manufacturing business processes within Oracle EBS R12.
  • Provide functional expertise across:
    • Oracle Work in Process (WIP)
    • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Oracle Inventory
    • Oracle Engineering
    • Manufacturing and Shop-Floor Operations
  • Lead business requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution design.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand manufacturing requirements and translate them into effective Oracle EBS solutions.
  • Support full-lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations, ERP migrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Configure and support manufacturing processes involving:
    • Routings
    • Work centers
    • Resources
    • Work orders
    • Bills of Material
    • Production execution
    • Material transactions
    • Shop-floor control
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications for RICE components, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions.
  • Partner with technical development teams to define requirements, review solutions, perform testing, and resolve production issues.
  • Support integration and cross-functional processes involving Production, Quality, Planning, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Lead or participate in functional testing, integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Conduct business process workshops and provide end-user training and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend Oracle best-practice solutions.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot functional issues, and work with technical teams to drive issues through resolution.
  • Support domestic travel as required for project and business needs.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite functional experience.
  • Strong experience with Oracle EBS R12, preferably R12.1.3.
  • Deep functional expertise in:
    • Oracle WIP
    • Oracle BOM
    • Oracle Inventory
    • Oracle Engineering
    • Manufacturing and Shop-Floor Operations
  • Experience with at least 2–3 full-lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations or ERP migrations.
  • Proven experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Manufacturing routings
    • Work centers
    • Resources
    • Work orders
    • Production execution
    • Shop-floor control
    • Material and inventory transactions
  • Hands-on experience preparing functional specifications for RICE development.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
  • Strong cross-functional understanding of Production, Quality, Planning, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to conduct business workshops, facilitate requirements sessions, train users, and explain complex manufacturing processes clearly.
  • Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite in Cleveland, OH, five days per week.
  • Willingness to travel domestically within the United States as needed.
