Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Node.js, Python, AWS, API Security, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in software development, architecture, code reviews, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications.
The candidate will lead development initiatives, mentor engineering teams, establish best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance, and reliable solutions for core business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance software applications.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, Node.js, and Python development.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Develop and maintain secure APIs following API security and enterprise security best practices.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including queries, data models, and performance tuning.
- Build and deploy applications using AWS cloud services and cloud-native technologies.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best engineering practices.
- Mentor and guide software engineers, helping improve technical skills and development practices.
- Participate in system architecture, technical design, and solution discussions.
- Troubleshoot complex production and application issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Identify opportunities for application modernization, automation, scalability, and performance improvements.
- Ensure software solutions meet requirements for security, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Strong experience with Node.js and Python
- Strong experience with AWS
- Experience designing and securing REST APIs / microservices
- Strong knowledge of API Security
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience with software architecture and technical design
- Strong understanding of scalable and distributed systems
- Proven experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems
- Experience with AWS-native services and cloud architecture
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with event-driven architecture / messaging platforms
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Previous experience in a technical lead or senior engineering leadership role
