Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Site Lead / Operations Lead to manage daily onsite operations for a technology and data collection program. The ideal candidate will supervise onsite team members, coordinate staffing and workflow, monitor performance and quality, resolve operational issues, and serve as the primary onsite escalation point.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily site operations, staffing coverage, work assignments, participant flow, and opening/closing readiness.
- Coordinate priorities across the onsite team and adjust resources based on scheduled demand and completion targets.
- Ensure required equipment, materials, workspaces, and operational controls are available and functioning.
People Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support onsite moderators and data collection specialists.
- Conduct daily briefings, shift handovers, and performance discussions.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, conduct, and training readiness.
Performance & Quality
- Track completion volume, schedule adherence, data quality, productivity, and other operational metrics.
- Identify operational constraints and implement practical process improvements.
- Ensure work follows documented procedures, privacy requirements, security controls, and workplace safety practices.
Issue Management & Reporting
- Act as the first onsite escalation point for participant, staffing, process, equipment, and facility issues.
- Coordinate issue resolution with appropriate support teams and maintain ownership through closure.
- Prepare concise daily and weekly performance updates, action logs, incident records, and risk summaries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in operations leadership, team supervision, site coordination, field operations, or program delivery.
- Experience supervising employees in a customer-facing, service, research-support, or operational environment.
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, work assignment, and workload management.
- Strong reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with standard office, spreadsheet, presentation, and collaboration tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work onsite in San Diego, CA and accommodate schedule flexibility when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in research operations, field operations, healthcare operations, event operations, customer operations, or technology-enabled programs.
- Experience with operational metrics, dashboards, quality controls, and corrective action plans.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise clients or cross-functional stakeholders.
- Project management, process improvement, or operational excellence training/certification.
- Current First Aid or CPR certification.
