Job Description
Systems Administrator – Azure Cloud & Infrastructure
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will manage and support enterprise cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and operational reliability across mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.
- Manage Azure services, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, Front Door, Traffic Manager, DNS, and Network Watcher.
- Administer Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux systems.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage system patching, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Support VMware virtualization and high-availability infrastructure.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, Perl, and related tools.
- Implement infrastructure improvements using Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.
- Manage networking components, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ACLs, NAT, and routing.
- Maintain security controls, access management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and cloud migration initiatives.
- Prepare change requests, operational reports, SLA metrics, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with application, database, networking, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support 24x7 production environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Microsoft Azure administration experience.
- 5+ years of Windows and Linux/Unix systems administration experience.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, system patching, and infrastructure operations.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Shell scripting, Perl, or similar automation tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with SLA management, operational reporting, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware administration and high-availability environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and DevOps practices.
- SharePoint administration and support.
- Experience in government, public-sector, or regulated environments.
- Disaster recovery, business continuity, and cloud modernization experience.
