Network Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our team in Chesterfield, VA.This role requires an individual with advanced technical expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, and customer support, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network systems, including routers, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and related technologies.
- Manage, configure, and optimize network equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
- Work with internal teams to resolve hardware and software issues impacting network functionality.
- Ensure high standards for network security, including firewall management and access control.
- Perform network diagnostics and provide proactive recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support network-related projects and initiatives.
- Maintain and update documentation for network infrastructure and system configurations.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to resolve network-related inquiries and concerns.
- Provide timely support and resolution of technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of network administration concepts such as DHCP, DNS, routers, and firewalls.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting network hardware and software issues.
- Proficient in PC peripherals and technical support related to personal computers.
- Solid understanding of network security best practices.
- Exceptional customer service and client relations skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
