Job Title: Sr SAP Project Manager with AWS Cloud
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: The Woodlands, TX (Hybrid)
Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager with expertise to lead and deliver the migration of an SAP ECC for Utilities environment into the AWS Cloud. The Project Manager will own project governance, stakeholder alignment, scope and risk management, and ensure successful delivery through strong coordination between SAP functional/technical teams, AWS Cloud teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end planning and execution of an SAP IS-U ECC migration project to AWS, including readiness assessments, cutover planning, and post-migration stabilization.
· Coordinate across business, SAP Basis, infrastructure, security, data, and integration teams to ensure alignment and timely deliverables.
· Establish clear governance practices: project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, change control, and communication management.
· Work closely with business leaders to understand operational dependencies related to billing, customer service, meter data management, and other IS-U modules.
· Manage vendor relationships and ensure partners meet quality, timeline, and contractual obligations.
· Monitor project KPIs, budget, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes and cost optimization.
· Drive risk mitigation, issue resolution, and decision-making across the organization.
· Oversee testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT, regression) including environment coordination and defect management.
· Ensure compliance with IT security, data privacy, and cloud governance standards.
· Lead hypercare and knowledge transition efforts to support operational teams post-migration.
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years of SAP Project Management experience with at least 2 large-scale SAP transformations.
· Direct experience leading cloud migration projects—preferably AWS.
· Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in an agile/hybrid project delivery model.
· Experience with SAP Basis, integrations (PI/PO, APIs), and infrastructure dependencies.
· Excellent communication, executive presentation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
· Strong project governance discipline including RAID management, financial tracking, and vendor oversight.
· PMP, Agile/Scrum certification, or SAP Activate knowledge preferred.
Nice to Have:
· Experience supporting Utilities regulatory and compliance requirements.
· Familiarity with SAP modernization roadmaps (S/4HANA, RISE with SAP).
· Understanding of AMI, Outage Management, and downstream utility applications
