Role Summary:
Lead development of cloud-native ABAP solutions on SAP BTP (Steampunk) using RAP, ensuring clean-core compliance and scalable enterprise services.
Key Responsibilities:
RESTful Service Development
Lead development of cloud-native ABAP solutions on SAP BTP (Steampunk) using RAP, ensuring clean-core compliance and scalable enterprise services.
Key Responsibilities:
RESTful Service Development
- Design and build enterprise-grade OData services (V2/V4) using the ABAP RAP framework to enable seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA and modern UI applications (Fiori/UI5).
Business Object (BO) Modeling
- Develop robust BOs using Behavior Definitions (BDEF) and Behavior Implementations (BIMP) supporting:
- Managed & unmanaged scenarios
- CRUD operations, validations, determinations, and actions
Advanced Data Modeling (CDS)
Architect scalable data models using ABAP CDS Views with:
- UI annotations (Fiori Elements)
- Search & analytical capabilities
- Performance optimization
Clean Core & Cloud Extensibility
Implement ABAP Cloud (Steampunk) principles:
- Side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP
- Developer extensibility with upgrade-safe architecture
Event-Based Processing & Integration
Enable asynchronous workflows using:
- RAP Business Events
- Event Mesh / APIs for hybrid SAP–Non-SAP integration
