Role Overview

The AI Platform Administrator is responsible for managing, governing, and scaling enterprise AI platforms across Azure environments.

This role ensures production-ready AI operations including Azure OpenAI, Databricks, and AI Gateway, aligned with enterprise security, reliability, and cost optimization standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Azure (IaaS/PaaS), Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, RBAC, DevOps, AI/ML fundamentals
Experience
- 5–12+ years in cloud/platform engineering with 2–5+ years in AI/ML platforms.
Key Responsibilities
AI Platform Administration
- Manage Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Cognitive Services)
- Administer Databricks workspaces, clusters, and ML workloads
- Implement and Manage APIM-based AI Gateway configurations
- Provision and manage compute, storage, and networking
AI Operations (AIOps) & Monitoring
- Monitor AI workloads, logs, and platform health
- Implement observability using Azure Monitor and KQL
- Support incident management and RCA processes
Security, Governance & Compliance
- Implement RBAC using Entra ID
- Enforce data security, content safety, and compliance
- Manage Key Vault, secrets, and private endpoints
Cost Optimization & FinOps
- Optimize AI model usage and compute costs
- Implement budget controls and cost tracking
- Provide cost dashboards and reporting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AI-102, AZ-305)
- Databricks certifications (Data Engineer / ML Engineer)
- Cloud/DevOps certifications (AWS/GCP equivalent)
