SAP ABAP Lead – BTP & RAP

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Lead with expertise in SAP BTP and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) for a 1-month contract opportunity in Houston, TX.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, modern SAP application development using RAP, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The candidate will lead technical development activities, provide technical guidance, and support the delivery of SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP ABAP development activities and provide technical guidance to the development team.
• Design, develop, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Develop and maintain applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
• Leverage SAP BTP capabilities to build and extend SAP applications.
• Work with CDS Views, OData services, and SAP Fiori applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and RAP.
• Expertise in Core Data Services (CDS Views), OData, and modern ABAP development.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA application development and extensions.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP application integration.
• Proven experience leading technical development teams or projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within a short-term contract.
